Regarding Sheila's question about Tanita and Medela baby scales, it's my understanding that Tanita and Medela scales have models that are identical to each other, i.e., Medela purchases their scales from Tanita and marks them up (and hence the much higher price), unless I'm mistaken.  You can compare the scales by going onto each company's website, and see which models are identical to each other, except for the logo.
