Hi all,

Two interesting developments.  One of the LC's at one of the Modesto
hospitals (the one where I am not vice chair) approached me yesterday.  She
(and the postpartum nurse manager) is eager to have me do a talk for the
pediatric staff on breastfeeding.  I raised this to the chair of the
pediatrics Dept at this hospital and got a less than enthusiastic response.

As I was walking out of conference yesterday at this hospital, I ran into the
three neonatologists (who cover at both hospitals in Modesto).  They
congratulated me on becoming vice chair of pediatrics at the other hospital.
One of them then quipped:
"Now you wont be able to talk about breastfeeding or bonding for the next two
years."

Getting ready for a very bumpy ride...
