8-10 to 9-2 meets the  minimum gain of 4 oz week. Since the baby originally
had latch problems this is probably one reason for 4 oz week.  Another is
that I find the bigger babies tend to lose more - I personally think it is
"water weight".  If the ped can't look at the whole picture (over the 2
weeks) and gives such faulty advice, she may want to consider a new ped if
that is possible considering ins. and who is available in area.

 Re: giving him info to read - I doubt it!   But you need to try.  Who
knows, it may work.  Have just seen a new booklet for physicians that Alice
Dermer has written for peds.  Looks great.  Contact NJ WIC about copies.
