Although I have never dealt with a woman with pituitary adenoma, i
have dealt with women who have been VERY slow to produce adequate
amounts of milk. One woman pumped, cried and pumped some more for 8
weeks, yes, 8 weeks. Domperidone really helped both women. The other
woman took 6 weeks of pumping and crying to get her full supply. In
both of these cases I never would have believed it if I hadn't seen
it with my own eyes. The '8 weeker' went onto breastfeed exclusively
for 6 months and them well into her baby's 18th month. The '6 weeker'
now has an 8 week old baby who is gaining 2 ounces/day on her mommy's
milk only. Ironically enough, both of these women, at one point
during out time together, mentioned they were 'late bloomers' I asked
how late, they both said they hadn't gotten their first period until
age 16. I am still in touch with both women. One had NO problem with
baby #2!!! Those 2 were the longest I personally experienced. Some
clients are 3-5 weeks, some give up before they have a chance, now
that I know it can take so long...
Don't antihistamines dry up sinuses??? Like nasal and milk sinuses??
Cheers to dogged determination,
