Debbie McClurg-Hitt referred to "several local health
          agencies that were routinely withholding immunizations of
          any kind if the mother was breastfeeding". I checked with a
          colleague in WHO's Expanded Programme on Immunization who
          assures me that the Programme has never listed
          breast-feeding as a contraindication for maternal or infant
          immunization.
