Thought you might appreciate this.

The Phoenix Art Museum has an exhibit called "Splendors of Ancient Egypt" -
everything from ancient clothing and artwork to a real mummy.

I probably shouldn't have been surprised, but I was, when I stood in front
of a mini statue of Isis, her son sitting on her lap holding her breast, and
the caption read "Isis was considered the epitomy of motherhood".

I was stand next to two young women (about 15 or 16) and I couldn't resist
commenting "It is interesting that their idea of the ideal mother is
breastfeeding. Write that down, ladies" (probably made no impression on
them, but it made me happy).

I ended up buying a $30 book written in German (I don't know German) because
it was the only book they had that contained a photo of this statue.

I will scan it in if anyone is interested.
