Similar to Mairead, my second baby was a noisy eater - often a sound with each swallow. I thought it might be thanks to my hearty milk supply but I also had that with my first and he did not make any sounds. When he started on liquids beyond breastmilk - he often made the same sound when swallowing, continuing for several years. And then it went away. He has always been generally content, gaining weight appropriately, I had no discomfort so I also didn't seek to intervene.
