Sorry, i am a little behind with lactnet, Patricia Gima wrote:

excessive amounts milk is not of benefit to the baby. Most of the medical
support persons just cheer them on and exclaim about their vast stores in
the freezer".


I usually suggest to mothers of premies to pump and maintain at least 800ml/24hrs.  Is this correct?
