This comes from Joy Kubit's husband, as an intro for her to Lactnet:

"Hi Kathleen, My wife is Joy G. Kubit, Lactation Consultant
for MetroHealth Medical Center in Clveland, Ohio. Joy
started the lacatation position in 1988. MetroHealth is the
old county health hospital, it handles a lot of mediaid
patients in northern Ohio. I beleive there are between
4200-5000 babies born there per year. I do know that Joy
has been helpful in raising the breat feeding percentage of
new mothers over the last couple of years. She works 30
hours per week, time is spent between helping mothers with
problems, a lot of premi work, staff education

with nursing staff, new residents, and other doctors on
staff. For World Breast Feeding week in August, she has put
together a series of lectures for hospital staff.

Joy was a LLL leader for 15 years, she is a R.N. with a B.S.
in Nursing from Simmons College, Boston , Ma. 1971.

She and Madonna Fasenpaur started NOLA, Northern Ohio
Lacatation Association in 1989? now has membership of 45-60
LCs I believe."

Welcome Joy.

Kathleen
