Even the Canadian Pediatric Society on their web page state that
breastfeeding is safe if the mother has EB virus. Why shouldn't it be?
Like most viral infections, the viremia occurs before the mother even
has symptoms, so that by the time she has symptoms, the baby has already
gotten it in the milk. However, the concentration of the virus is
likely to be extremely low, which may result in very mild infection, if
any, and besides EB viral infections in young babies tend to be very
mild even if they get a big viral burden.

By the way, 75% of children have had EB viral infections by the time
they are three years old. So what's the problem, exactly?
