Thank you all for your input. In regard to Kermaline's questions-Mom was extremely engorged when she saw me 48 hrs. after discharge. Her hands and ankles were also edematous. He did receive IV fluids due to being induced. I am seeing Mom tomorrow and will check her BP.  As far as her nursing position, she sits in a chair to nurse, does not lay down. I spoke to Mom  on the phone today re her vision. She said it only seems to happen when the baby first latches on (has some pain with initial latch due to cracked nipples prior to seeing me). She was told by the hospital staff that the baby was latching and nursing well. I will keep you posted.
