Amy Pullman, a District pediatrician, said she refers mothers to Shelly
because she's not a "purist." Unlike some hard-core lactation consultants,
Pullman said, Shelly will work with a doctor's wishes if a baby needs formula
supplements to treat jaundice or significant weight loss, for instance.
I thought the article in the post was good except for the salary part(if you
do the math sound like she's making 300,000/year!!) and this statement-
If it had just said like most Lactation consultants................
When I retire I'm planning on opening a post partum care center in my home(
We live on a lake ) I'll call it Breast and Relaxation.
Have a good Day
