Pam's post about the gel pads reminded me of a trick I figured out
this year. If a mom wants to use moist heat for engorgement or plugged
ducts, she can do this effectively with a newborn size disposable
diaper. Just run the diaper under hot tap water, then cup it over the
breast. They shape nicely all around the breast, and don't drip or
leak (if you don't fill them too full!). The silicone stuff (yuck)
also holds the heat reasonably well.
