You live and learn.  22 years ago at our local  hospital  I just assumed 
that  this is what happened everywhere, so it's not a new thing.  And yes, 
it is still the same.  I'm surprised it's not.  Even if they don't actualy 
manage to sleep, mothers need a quiet time whern they know there will be no 
interference from anyone, PN wards are such busy places.
