If they are really using undiluted evaporated goat's milk, they are really
courting disaster, since that has only half the water of whole milk! I have
heard of a case where a grandmother was feeding a baby undiluted evaporated
cow's milk and the baby ended up with tons of damage, including having his
legs amputated. Even if they were giving the baby lots of water at other
times during the day (which, alone, can cause problems in a young baby) they
might as well be wheeling their baby out into rush hour traffic and then
saying that it was better than pushing him on the sidewalk.

I guess this is an extreme example of why we have such things as the AAP's
no whole milk for a year mandate. We wouldn't need so many rules if people
could be counted on to use common sense. Scarey! What a tough case to have
to work with!
