Hi all and Happy New Year!
I have been "away" from LactNet since September -- notice that this date
coincides with my beginning Graduate school. I don't remember school being
this much work the first time around (i.e. for my RN & BSN)...could it be
that I am juggling 3 jobs, husband and 3 school-age kids, volunteering and
chauffeuring along with it?? I am on hiatus for winter break, so am trying to
play "catch-up" here (only through December, I'm afraid I had to dump most of
Sept - Nov without even reading the posts...it's like **throwing breastmilk
down the drain**, you know? All that valuable information lost to me) Well, I
have three weeks before class starts again, so here goes.
My problem of the day, as per my topic heading, is that I have had two MDs
(OB) recently tell clients who were BF and pregnant that they must wean as it
is dangerous to BF during pregnancy. The one client did have a miscarriange
during this, but I truly question the cause & effect relationship here. Does
anyone have any references to this topic in their archives/files?? I will
pursue it further when I return to the University (!) but was hoping for some
help now. Thanks.
