Arly et al. Yes I see more and more early intro of solids even by the
local pediatrician, I used to hold in careful high esteem....so his wife
could get more rest at 2 WEEKS !!!!!!

This reminds me of 20 years ago when in nursing school they discussed
cereals at 2-4 weeks, fruit vegs at 2 months ! why are we creeping back ?
is it family pressure or have they ignored the vast array of digestive
disorders that relatively young people experience, is this the new AAP
guidelines shifting again ? how can AAP standards be respected when they
jump around based on a few studies that seem to contradict one another ? I
was reading an old post from a Peds GI who said there was no evidence tht
early intro of solids cause allergies etc. the statement was that
"cultures" all over the globe have introduced non mother's milk foods
"without" apparent ill effects.....yes and traditional cultures used to
discard colostral milks or feed them to animals rather than the newborns (
they had mortality rates for newborns we should covet ?????) SO IT MUST BE
OK ? NOT !
