Have her try triggereing the MER first by hand and waiting for 2 minutes
before latching, so the "big push" is done before baby latches. Or have
her pump a little off to elicit MER and cut down the amount of milk that
gushes into the baby in the first few minutes. Sounds like an overactive
MER, and perhaps a slight oversupply have been set up by her good pumping
experience, and the baby is perhaps spitting up due to rapid overfilling
of the stomach.
