Well said Jan!
In fact the entire post was well put AND a repeat to a lengthy discussion
following the very same lines a year or so ago.

While working in the hospital and cutting many of these syringes (without the
luxury of the time required to bring them home and saw!), I found, as someone
else suggested, submersing the to be cut end in *instahot* water for a few
minutes makes using scissors easier! (the small ones in suture removal kits
work well as they are *safe*,are stocked on most hospital carts and have one
pointy rounded tip to puncture-I would keep several pair in the pocket of my
lab coat)
