How about this solution to the "permission for use of lactnet info."
problem:

Anyone who posts and is is willing to let their info be shared with
anyone else including attributing it by name should put this statement at
the bottom of their post: "I give permission for the use of this
information by any lactnet subscriber (who meets the subscriber criteria)
INCLUDING use of my name." The shorthand for this could be "PGUI-include
name" (Meaning permission granted for use of info and my name).

You could also leave a statement: "I give persmission for the use of this
information by any lactnet subscriber (who meets the subscription
criteria) EXCLUDING the use of my name." The shorthand could be
"PGUI-exclude name."

My intent here is not for publication because I believe a more personal
permission should be requested. The intent would be to use informally in
the carrying out of daily LC duties with clients, other health care
workers, etc. Note "who meets the subscription criteria" clause which is
meant to exclude those abm'ers and other bf-contrary types!

Being new to lactnet I too was in a quandry after I asked for info to
help someone and then wasn't sure if I could give them a hard copy (I
did, but blacked out--with a real fat Sharpie marker--or cut out their
names, and any other identifying info.!) It would be tough to personally
e-mail every person who responded before sharing this in a written form
with the mom who is anxiously waiting help.
