Janet reports:

I remember sharing this with a couple. She had severe edema, especially in
her lower legs and ankles. I had just recommended cabbage leaves for her
breasts. I said that watermelon might be helpful for her swelling. The poor
dad thought she should then put watermelons on her feet. A logical
assumption after I had just explained the cabbage. I had a good laugh with
them about that one. Kept imagining this poor mum walking around with a
watermelon on each foot like slippers

This really made me laugh because one time, as I was just finishing up my
explanation of watermelon, one of our OBs walked in the room -- "Jan," she said,
"I know about cabbage and what you do with that, but WHAT are you doing with
WATERMELON??!!"
