If the use of medications to rescusitate a newborn is okay, why don't they
use Narcan for babies who show lower level overdose:they can breathe, but
show neurological symptoms such as poor feeding, as previously described.
It seems that poor feeding can help us to find other problems, like cardiac
and GI abnormalities, why do they accept that it's normal for babies to be
sleeping, not nursing on their first day of life? I haven't seen that
behavior in home birth babies. In hospitals the babies must be awakened,
sometimes vigorously, every few hours. Is the only remedy kangaroo care?
How does effect jaundice? Judy
