Is mom using cloth nursing pads or disposable pads? I had a client with chronic nipple pain/tenderness, and we deduced it was from the disposable pads she was using that made her nipples so sensitive to her baby's suck.

Is baby just nursing on the nipple or is he/she full on latched with part of the areola in the mouth? using chin led nursing? assymetrical latch? I have lots of questions about the latch.

Has she been tested for Staph? Just some questions that might help investigate. Have a blessed day, Merideth Buell, CLC, BE, BFPCDept. State Health Services, [log in to unmask]
