cathy bargar's excellent analysis of the reasons for vehement anti-
breastfeeding in public feelings is only missing one thing, the correct
jargon. it cleared up a great many things for me when i discovered, quite a
while back, that in addition to "attachment" and "lack of attachment" there is
also "insecure attachment." which is some but not "enough" of what all
children need.
