Could you please post this unusual query to Lactnet for me. The mom is not majorly concerned as there is no lump, she's not had mastitis etc, but she does want some sort of reason why this is happening.

Baby is 5 months old and nurses well. For the past few days the mom has noticed a few small drops of milk leaking out from a spot just off the edge of the areola. She says there is no sign of a lump or even a 'pimple' that could be seen as a nipple or Montgomery glands. When not feeding she can't even see where the milk leaks from.

We thought of the possibility of supernumerary tissue that has slowly connected over the months and now is actually able to leak through the breast outside of the areola. Any other possibilities?
