as a small breasted woman, the c hold is a dismal
failure.  The "scissor" or "cigar" (gack) hold is much
more effective while I'm a 34 B (barely).  C hold only
works for the few days that I'm at the most a C.
OTOH, holding the breast at all is only necessary for
a short time for me and probably most women with
small, firm breasts.  So yes, if it's working for the
mom, don't "fix" it or complicate things
unnecessarily.
