Hi to all of you! I have been lurking since I joined Lactnect, and must say
that it is great to see so much information and so many ideas being
exchanged. There is always more to learn! I am a LLL leader in Israel, also
an RN, and a mother to 3 big boys and one little girl, who is 2yrs 6m, and
nursing to our heart's delight.
I have been looking for information, unsuccessfully, including in the
archives, about two specific herbs use in pregnancy and lactation. They
are, dong quai, and astragalus. If anyone can point me in the right
direction, I'd appreciate it. (Either here or privately) . I am under the
impression that they are harmless during those times, but am seeking
references to back it up.

By the way, I saw the Jay Leno show with Pierce Brosnon, and was also
pleased at PB's nonchalant attitude, like,"what's the big deal?" giving the
message that something so natural and beautiful doesn't require so much
todo. It is interesting, as was mentioned in a previous message by Brenda,
that the word "breastfeeding" was never mentioned, and I wonder if that was
intentional.

Thanks ,
Jennie Elmaleh RN, LLLleader
