We originally wore good street clothes and a white lab jacket. One of the
LC's went a little too far with the causal look from time to time. I am the
full time LC and I got tired of wearing out good clothing and shoes. So I
started the trend of dressing like the other nurses and we wear a white lab jacket
or out maternity uniform jacket. Our boss now expects us to dress this way for
continuity and the patients all know we belong there due to the way we dress
along with our name tags. It saves lots of money in clothing to dress in
scrubs.
