Hello out there!

Perhaps this is an old discussion, but I am wondering how long it's
considered "normal" to be able to express milk after complete weaning? I
have had calls about this as moms do their BSEs (breast self-exams). I had
one the other day that said that it has been a year since she weaned. As for
myself, I could express a "colostrum-like" substance for 2 years after
weaning, only to find out later that I was hypothyroid. When should someone
be referred to an MD for follow-up for a pituitary or thyroid disorder?

Thanks for your help.
