Hi all
I am a reader rather than a writer but all the post about dioxins has my brain zinging.
Question : what are the levels of PCB's Dioxins etc in a baby that has been fed breastmilk substitute or even breastmilk via a synthetic system? Teats & bottles degrade with use -so- how much extra does a baby ingest when fed by artificial means? How many times do any of us see an older child with tea, coke, or some other disgusting concotion using a bottle and teat.I am sure all the manufacturers out their must know the levels attained.

Another thing but about weight. Six months ago I saw a full term baby which had had Hydrops and no one weighed her before she left NICU. When at 8days she had lost over 20% of her birth weight, with lots of yellow stools and wet nappies, the first thought was supplementation to the mothers horror. The mother & I discussed all did nothing, baby lovely, and weighed the baby 2 days later. Why cannot a little lateral and obvious thinking happen.
