Hi all,
Just need to ventilate! My office at the hospital was filled with Ross boxes
this morning when I went in...the latest "gift" to breastfeeding mothers,
complete with an insulated bad, two bags of blue ice, breastmilk containers,
and as always, artificial formula. Makes my skin crawl, but hard to convince
the nursery crews that this is not something we should be giving to our
nursing mothers. AAGH! At least they put them in my office, where I have
more control over them. That keeps the staff from freely handing them out.
And this is a hospital that has its certificate of intent for Baby Friendly!
Often feels like I'm banging my head on brick walls on all four sides. Any
suggestions from others that have successfully gotten the freebies out of the
hospitals?
