There is extensive doccumentation on this at www.mad-cow.org (I got the
link out of Richard Preston's book "Deadly Feasts" which discusses Mad
Cow/CJD/BSE in detail).  I BELIEVE there is a section that says there
has been some evidence of Mad cow being present in milk, but I'm NOT
absolutely sure (it's been a while since I looked).  If I remember
correctly, the theory was that yes, there could be some Mad Cow being
passed on through milk, formula, and even breastmilk (assuming the mom
was infected)...i.e. NOTHING is safe in a place where Mad cow is
rampant.

However, I'm not the world expert on this subject (by far!), so don't
take my word on it...  :-)  Just thought I'd provide that link...
