I'd like to point out that talking about the importance of breastfeeding and
presenting the risks of premature weaning or introduction or foreign foods
need not be a scare tactic and one need not overstate anything. Of course
the way in which information is communicated is important and lay
breastfeeding counsellors in particular are very good at presenting
information sensitively.
Benefits based messages have FAILED as shown in Li's latest research.
