The quality of milk in a 65 year old Nigerian Woman, Gindler et al. Nutrition Research, 5, pp 1209-1213, 1985

Breast milk quality in a 65 year old post menopausal Nigerian woman is compared to a control group of well nourished Nigerian mothers. Successful relactation ensued 19 years after her last confinement. Three grandchildren have been nursed successfully over a 4 year period of continuous lactation. (Total protein was deficient, rest was OK) Grandmom was malnourished-not sure why she was compared to well nourished women. My answer would be to feed the old woman better! She deserves it!!

I'm down to the last 2 drawers of articles to sort. Hope I can find more to stimulate your thinking :-) Pat in SNJ (an old woman :-)
