Upon reading it, I reacted to the same bit of the summary that Kate
has already posted: ". . . children would benefit from
lactoferrin-enriched formula or lactoferrin
supplement."

Why didn't the researchers just recommend breastfeeding (as implied
by Medscape's headline)?  The most they will say, at least as quoted
in this summary, is, "a milk protein lactoferrin...may have
implications for host-pathogen interactions during transmission via
milk or other biological secretions."

Is it so problematic to state the obvious?
