Jessica, I share your pain!
I usually tell the mom that all those people who said that bf babies 
stool infrequently are right, but only for older babies. Then I explain 
the gastrocolic reflex and how it functions in the first 6 weeks of life 
as justification for frequent stooling.
And I always put a line in my reports to the pedi that one red flag that 
this infant was not getting enough milk was the infrequent stooling. If 
you say it enough they will eventually believe it.
