I understand what you're saying, Kathy, and on the one hand I sort of
agree (especially about what people will be thinking), but on the other
hand, as I've discussed with my parents often (who are both great
breastfeeding advocates: my mom bfed me, and my dad was bfed by his
mom...don't know how long), children are created by a loving sexual act,
and for many women giving birth to their child is a sexual act (it
especially seems so either with women who have a lot of humiliating
medical checks during birth & thus feel somewhat "raped", or those who
are already recovering psychologically from sexual
intercourse-type-rape, and seem to find birth healing...). So feeding
their child seems to be some what sexual too.

I'm not equating nursing with having sexual intercourse with one's
husband/wife/other half (etc.) in any way, but the former stems from an
occurrance of the latter, passing through the birth on the way...and
life is never either black or white, but there are in between parts that
are grey...so perhaps (although not everyone would want to "admit" so in
just any old company) there are people who consider nursing somewhat
sexual, and if they're comfortable with that set of mindeframe and are
not "taking it too far" so to speak, then it is still just as "natural"
as for anyone else on the planet.

I'm not sure if the way I've said this will be properly understood, and
I hope I don't get lots of people jumping all over me because they've
misunderstood it, and read something into it which I am not saying...but
I don't think that "sexual experiences" are quite so cut and dried as
"intercourse with one's better half" equalling ok, and "anything else
considered even remotely sexual being done with a child, or worse yet, a
*baby*" being considered pornography.
