Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that progesterone is
sometimes given to moms during pregnancy when there is a history of prior
pre-term labor or pregnancy loss -- I think this is a relatively new
prophylactic treatment.  And it makes sense that the Lovenox would be
prescribed because of the pro-thrombotic effects of progesterone.

Perhaps her doc is more concerned about the possible effects on her
pregnancy of continued nursing if there is a history of PTL, rather than the
effects of the meds on the baby she's currently nursing (I'm just guessing
here, not knowing the mom's history).  Regardless, a second opinion, from a
maternal-fetal medicine doc, is certainly indicated for this mom.
