The National Health and Medical Research Council Infant Feeding guidelines
For Health workers www.nhmrc.gov.au  gives similar info  as the raising
children website, except it recommends boiling as preferred as it gives 
consistent reliable results", chemical sterilising "is not as effective as
boiling", and microwave sterilising "is not as effective as boiling" and 
not recommended as microwaves do not heat evenly" They seem to be happy with
electric steam sterilisers. No mention of mixing powder with hot water,
cooled boiled water seems to be the go.



No mention of salt - haven't seen that done in years.



Sometimes when I'm presented with a bottle, not washed since the last child
and caked on milk and fizzy drink, I'm hard pressed to scrub it all clean
with soap and a bottle brush before sterilising. Pat I would check they are
at least being rinsed and washed between use.



ABA's guidelines are a little different , dealing with breastmilk and not
formula, and healthy babies.
