yes and no.  yes in terms of the tautness/firmness you describe - but
they didn't come with the supply issue you're describing.   I really
really thought this mom had implants.   nope, just extremely firm breast
tissue.  b/c of it, baby had some trouble latching well for several
weeks - but it resolved on it's own.

I'm not sure what's going on with your case, but given how overwhelmed
the mom sounds, and how overwhelming pumping is, my course of action
would look something like this

1)skip pumping
2)domperidone
3)breastfeed
4)supplement at breast with

ime routinely pumping post feeds is really really asking more than many
moms are able to do.
