**Hmmm... this makes me wonder... what about hormones in contraception,
handed down through breastmilk... what could be their effect? Years ago, I
learned that during our mother groups, we were supposed to say: "They may
have a really big impact on your milk production and what they do to your
child hormonally, we don't know." I think that still holds, doesn't it...?

**I was hardly breastfed and eight years old with my first period. After
that, I had years of having a cycle but not really menstruating, which
became regular around eleven. Breasts grew early, first in my class to wear
a bra, but my mother had made sure I was well informed about everything, so
I was not shocked and had no problem whatsoever dealing with either one
issue. I'm 43 now, so I would reckon I did my fair share of menstruating,
but no signs of things ending just yet, still very regular! Seems my hormone
system is as passionate as I am... or is it the other way around...?! hahaha

Warmly,

Marianne Vanderveen, Netherlands
