Firstly, in my opinion, it is much better for a baby to be attached to
a substitute-mother (like a nanny or grandmother) than not to be
attached at all.
However, a mother who hands over her baby to another woman can hardly
be said to be practicing attachment parenting. In fact, I would say
that she is practicing the OPPOSITE. She is DETACHING herself from the
mothering role.
