When I hear "I formula fed my kids and they turned out just fine" I think
of how, when asked, "How are you?" most people will say, "Oh, fine." That
might sound just great until you hear someone like me say, in response to
the same question, "Awesome!"

My point is that if you think "fine" is what you want to be, then you will
accept it and go on with things. If "fine" isn't what you're aiming for,
but "awesome" is, you will not only find that if you say you are "awesome",
you will BE awesome!

Formula fed babies might be fine. But a breastfed baby is more than that,
he's AWESOME! You are what you think you are...

"Breastfeeding is an unsentimental metaphor for how love works, in a
way. You don't decide how much or how deeply to love--you respond to
the beloved, and give with joy exactly as much as they want."--Marni
Jackson, The Mother Zone, 1994
