Cross-posted, so I do apologize for some of you will be getting several
copies of this message.

Mother of my patient called that the kid got sick wile criusing in Europe.
The kid (20 something now) has spina bifida occulta, neurogenic bladder
and the hx of frequent urinary tract infections as a child (doing
reasonably well in the oast several years).
Yesterday she developed abdominal pain and fever that for the ship's doc
was suspicious for appendicitis.
The kid got better with IVF in the ship's infirmary but did refuse to go
to the local hospital and is right now flying to Franfurt to catch the
plane to NJ.
I dont think that it will be wise for her to fly without being checked
by a reputable hospital in Germany.
What would be the suggestions?

TIA,
Alla
