I'm sorry; I realize I wasn't too clear in my questions about vitamin E.  I
had thought I had read about it recently here, as a tool for healing sore
nipples, but when taken ORALLY...not applied to the nipple itself.  I
realize that is a no-no given toxicity can build up in babies.  I am sorry
for the confusion!  I assure you I have been telling this lady not to put
E ON her nipples.  :-)
