Putting aside the discussion of whether to supplement or not, let's say
a supplement is used on day 1, say finger feeding a few cc's of
supplement mixed with colostrum or if no colostrum can be obtained then
finger feeding just the supplement....(or cup fdg or whatever) - what
would you use and why? D5W or D10W? (5% glucose or dextrose vs 10%
glucose in water)
D10W would give more calories and less volume, right?
Is the ph or osmolarity more appropriate with one or the other?
