Just wanted to thank everyone who shared their wisdom and experience with
me regarding working with babies with cystic fibrosis. I was able to give
the parents much needed info and references which empowered them.
The docs finally put the baby on enzymes and the baby started to gain
weight-on strictly breastmilk! Mom became more confident as the baby gained
weight and was putting him to breast instead of pumping and bottle feeding.
I hope to get the CF tape soon and would like to speak with Jan Ellen Brown.
Is she online? This hospital does not have (at least from my experience) any
set protocols for feeding CF babies so my job isn`t over yet. We really
don`t see that many CF babies since there is a world renowned medical center
across town with a CF clinic- that I need to contact.
