Hello all! Although I've been lurking (and learning) on LACTNET for a while
now, this is the first time I've posted. In my "other life" (i.e., the one
outside of my quest to hopefully someday become an IBCLC), I'm a medical
writer and editor. One of my colleagues is working on an article slated to
appear in a newsletter for OB/GYNs working in private practice in the
United States. The topic of the article is lactation consultants who work
for OB/GYNs under some kind of formal arrangement, such as meeting with
pregnant patients either individually or in group settings to provide
breastfeeding how-to classes, and/or consulting with post-partum patients
who have breastfeeding questions or difficulties. Is there anyone out there
(either an LC who works in such a capacity or a physician who has hired
such a person) who fits this description? If so, and if you'd be willing to
talk with my colleague for her article, please let me know. Please e-mail
me privately at [log in to unmask] Thank you!
