That is one of my pet peeves, too, and I see it often here in Central
Kentucky. Very high on that list of pet peeves are peds who will order a bottle
feeding when a baby has been under oxygen or something and hasn't been to
breast "just to be sure they can suck." And the ones that insist we must pass
a catheter through each nare to assure patency of the nares. These poor
babies! Deb Ray, RNC, IBCLC - watching the "Cold Kentucky Rain" from my
window!
