I also really like the Massachusetts Breastfeeding Coalition's Skin to Skin posters. It's a beautiful picture and goes over the basic benefits of STS very well and it's available in several languages. You can download it for free or purchase as a larger poster. We give it as a handout to all patients.

I do love the 9 Instictive Stages poster from Healthy Children's Center for Breastfeeding. However, for us this worked better in delivery rooms because it's a great teaching tool for parents and a good reminder for staff that they shouldn't be trying to push the baby to breast. Also available in Spanish, too. Not that I'm saying it's right, but it unfortunately could be an issue that some hospital administrators in the U.S. may not want to display photos of breasts and nipples in the family waiting room area.

If that's an issue for your hospital, I would suggest the Nebraska Breastfeeding Coalition. They have a campaign called, "Really? Really?" That has materials about the Sacred Hour. One of the posters says, "Keep the Elephant out of the room. Along with the in-laws. It's only an hour." You can download for free or order online.

I hope that helps. Good luck.
